Sandsend - Where the Moors meet the Sea.

A quiet coastal village just north of Whitby. Stone cottages hug the shore, their chimneys sending smoke into the salt air as East Row Beck winds through the centre. Gulls perch on its little bridge, watching life unfold. Above, heather-covered cliffs stretch inland, hinting at the moors’ wild heart and the forgotten alum industry buried beneath.

At low tide, the beach becomes a canvas of footprints—children, dogs, walkers heading toward Whitby Abbey’s silhouette. By dusk, the sea returns, and cottage windows glow—Sandsend settling into its timeless, sea-washed stillness.
